Grand Hyatt Seattle

One of Seattle's premier hotels, the Grand Hyatt is right in the heart of the shopping and restaurant district. Minutes away from the city's number one attraction, Pike Market, and within walking distance to all the big name stores, this great hotel offers West Coast elegance, efficiency, and ease. We love its convenient location and friendly staff. Their popular Club Floor offers a good breakfast (egg dish, cereals, smoked meats and salmon, cheeses, and an assortment of fruit) and a nice selection of hors d'ouevres in the evening. On site is a Starbucks, Blue C Restaurant, and Ruth and Chris Steak House.

West Seattle Golf Course

What a gorgeous hidden gem this golf course is! Located in West Seattle, the course offers an interesting variety of short, medium and long holes with dynamic views of downtown Seattle and its panoramic mountains. The front nine begins with a dramatic tee off to Mt. Ranier in all its snow capped glory; while the back nine offers spectacular glimpses of the Seattle skyline. There is also a delightful clubhouse that has been going strong since the early 40s. It could do with a little renovation; however it's charming and atmospheric. Next time you're visiting Seattle for a few days, add 18 holes to your agenda - you'll see why this delightful course is such a favorite with the locals. Only $35 for 18 holes plus an extra $15 per person for a golf cart. One of Seattle's sweetest deals!!!

Blue C Sushi Restaurant - downtown Seattle

If you're shopping at Nordstrom and want some sushi before heading down to Pike Market, stop at a hip little conveyor belt sushi bar named Blue C Sushi. Get there early - as soon as it opens at 11:00 a.m. - for optimal freshness and variety. All the dishes are colour coded according to the Tokyo subway system; so you can keep a running tab on how much you owe. Throughout the day the conveyor belt passes along a vibrant display of fresh sushi and Asian fusion dishes. Since the bilingual chef/owner was born in Seattle, his manner is friendly, accommodating, and surprizingly professional. For a snack or a quick meal during a day of busy shopping or sightseeing, the Blue C Sushi is convenient, delicious, and very West Coast. Happy Hour is daily between 4-7 p.m. / Mon-Thurs 11 a.m.-10 p.m. / Fri 11 a.m. - 10 p.m./Sat and Sun 11:30 a.m. - 10 p.m.
